Well 3G is finally here, and the private players of the Indian telecom are sooner gonna get it. BTW the 3G is now in the hands of BSNL and MTNL, the tariff is better. But is not good when it comes' into hands for Unlimited usage. So here is a trick that allows you to enjoy 3.1 Mbps Unlimited Tariff.
- First, make sure you have 2G SIM and not a 3G SIM from BSNL. Also be sure you have 50+ Balance on your Mobile.
- Activate GPRS by sending GPRSPRE to 53733, your GPRS will be activated and you should probably receive the settings within 6 hours.
- Activate One month GPRS, By doing a EC Recharge for 230. After your connection got activated just goto, Menu | Settings | Tools | Settings | Phone | Network | Network Mode | Select 'UTMS'
- Then do a manual search for the network, you 'll find BSNL 3G Network. Choose that as default, also remember to keep BSNLEGPRS or BSNLPREPAID as your APN.
